Future of AI in the Workplace

Semester long research in speculating about the future, this project started with the exploration of how we will achieve financial stability in the future. Starting with proposing three different scenarios that explore this future, this project then later developed into an exploration of how AI will take over automated jobs in the future.

In further developing scenario 3, the project became an exploration of how AI will be incorporated into the workplace in the future and imagines how humans who previously held these positions now train the AI.

Future Scenario: In the year 2040 AI has taken over 80% of entry-level service jobs. Where now the humans that used to used to have these jobs have been replaced by robots that can tackle these tasks. Now the humans teach the AI the skills they will need.

This has been possible because In this future Amazon has acquired the means to develop AI robots outside of the use for warehouses and into the restaurant business which has been severely hit with a worker shortage during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is now common to see AI occupy these service level jobs that would be entry level opportunities for many workers.
