Avery AI

Avery is the result of a design speculation research project concerning the future of AI in the workplace started in Fall 2021. I created a LinkedIn profile for Avery which is an AI robot restaurant host that, in the year 2040, has taken over the restaurant world as the preferred host to use. The profile included how it got to where it is, who helps train the robot, the super human skills and capabilities that it offers, and the testimonials of the restaurant owners that run an Avery in their restaurant.
This project explores the possibilities of bringing Avery to life and how it will use AI to react to situations like a restaurant host would.

Creating the Chatbot
Initial exploration of the chatbot dialog tree. Looking first at premade templates made for restaurant industries, to then making my own dialog tree for the capabilities that Avery needed to handle.
Using DialogFlow and the Google Assistant as a prototyping tool, I created Avery as a chatbot that attempts to give you the perfect dining experience.
